December 2012

A busy month as always is December.  It started off with the Daycare Christmas concert - they were soooo cute!!

We are very busy in our service department and needed a hand - I saw a great opportunity to get my dear friend Sharee over to help. We had an awesome week including visiting the grandchildren, Southbank for Laura's birthday, Shopping, Girls work Xmas party, Gold Coast and Friday night shopping in the city including a ride on the Wheel of Brisbane and my favourite restaurant "The Jetty".

And finally we got the news the baby was on her way!  In fact they rang me not even two hours later to say she was born - welcome to Jaya Esme Wood 18th December 7lb 8oz - the first full term grandchild!!  She was in a rush to get into this world - they nearly didn't make it to hospital.

I went in to see her just 2 hours old

We have been intending for a long time to get 28 canvas's of our trip and make a picture.  I had bought a deal which expired 23rd December - so that forced us to get going.  Here is some photos of the drafts trying to work out the layout!

We had to leave our gorgeous new grand daughter as we were going to Pukekohe cons.  We have been very remiss at taking photos for the rest of this year however we stayed with Liz and Alton and we have some of their beautiful garden.

We also slipped out from Pukekohe to have a lovely Christmas dinner with Jane and Si, Mark and Jen and once again my camera was nowhere in sight!  However we saw this amazing Christmas lights house down on the Parade.

I also slipped out to meet my old friend Jan for a lovely catch up and lunch.

We then flew to Christchurch and had an amazing Xmas lunch at Alister and Karyn's.  Lovely too to have Robyn and Frosty there as well.  We also took mum out for the day. Once again photos thin on the ground.

Beautiful desserts

The Macs!

Geoff and Dad took some time "out" and went jet boating.  I think they enjoyed it and no cameras were drowned this time!

All too soon it was time to fly home.  We got back to Brisbane on the 31st and we took Kaisha up to Kangaroo Point to see the fireworks.  We were sooo tired!

Home to bed - we didn't see the new year but we heard it!!

So ends the second year in Australia and we are just loving it!
